Media Literacy for Everyone

Media can inspire us to learn, empathize and create, or it can confuse, undermine, and misinform. Just as “literacy” — the ability to read and write the written word was an essential skill in the 20th Century — “media literacy” —the ability to create and critically consume media — is an essential and necessary skill for anyone living in the 21st Century.
- Sherri Hope-Culver, Professor of Instruction and Director of the Center for Media and Information Literacy at Temple University
