Young Children
Parents, childcare providers, and educators play an important role in selecting and using media to support academic development and build healthy media habits in young children (0-8 years). It is important to manage screen time and ensure that the content young children interact with is safe and appropriate. -
Tweens & Teens
Youth frequently use media that shapes their view of the world, their peers, and themselves. Educators and parents can monitor and mentor tweens and teens (9-19 years), teaching them how to critically engage with media in ways that support their social and emotional health and responsible use. -
Adults & Seniors
Adults and seniors are active consumers and creators of media for personal and professional use. While adults play an important role in supporting media literacy development for young children and youth, they also need to be media-literate for their own well-being.
